KOSO NIPPON Dialogue Series, Part 2: The Future of Evidence-Based Policymaking

Part 2 of our dialogue series with KOSO NIPPON, a Japanese policy think tank, has been published. It discusses how the concrete experiences of everyday life can be translated into policy language that government and politics can work with.

The dialogue features Hideki Kato (President, KOSO NIPPON), Shun Tanaka (Executive Director, KOSO NIPPON), and Shunsuke Takagi and Shutaro Aoyama (co-founders, Plural Reality).

Building on the randomly selected Residents Councils that KOSO NIPPON has run for 30 years, part 2 discusses AI as a translator that connects residents' accounts of their lives to policy issues, and why the time AI frees up should be spent visiting communities in person.
